We Are Motörhead : ウィキペディア英語版 | We Are Motörhead
''We Are Motörhead'' is the fifteenth album by the band Motörhead. It was released in 2000. ==Background== In the Motörhead documentary ''The Guts and the Glory'' vocalist and bassist Lemmy Kilmister declares, "I think ''We Are Motörhead'' was a much better album than it got credit for". The album contains a cover of the punk band The Sex Pistols' song "God Save the Queen", for which the band recorded a promo video atop an open-top London bus. Although he insists that the Damned were "the true punk band, not the Sex Pistols", he was friendly with Sid Vicious and tried to teach him how to play the bass, recalling in his autobiography ''White Line Fever'': :I actually gave Sid some bass lessons – he came up to me and said, "Hey, Lemmy, teach me how to play the bass", and I said, "All right, Sid". But three days later I had to tell him, "Sid, you can't play bass". He said, "Yeah, I know", and he was all depressed and went off...Even though he couldn't play bass worth a damn, Sid was a nice enough geezer...So I like the Pistols, though as I said, I thought they were really a rock 'n' roll band". At the time of ''We Are Motörheads release, the band was in competition with itself as the compilations ''Deaf Forever'' and ''The Best of Motörhead'' also came out, something the band had no control over.
